Applications include checking the frequencies and magnetic fields from as low as 5 Hz up to 200 kHz produced by equipment like computers, power lines, appliances, induction heaters, industrial equipment, radar, scientific/medical equipment, walk-through/hand-held detectors, and ground wave energy networks, etc. For more information, refer to the publication "Very-Low-Frequency Electromagnetic Field Detector with Data Acquisition," IEEE Trans. Instrum. Meas., vol. 58, no. 1, pp. 129–140, Jan. 200
Exposure to electromagnetic field radiation (EMF) has been associated with potential health concerns, including cancer, birth defects, learning difficulties, miscarriages, immune system effects, and other conditions. To help reduce unnecessary exposure, use an Integrity Design model to detect electromagnetic fields and identify radiation “hot spots” in your home or office.
These testers measure the frequency and strength of magnetic fields (bandwidth: 20 Hz–4000 Hz) produced by equipment such as computer monitors, television sets, power lines, induction heaters, industrial, scientific, and medical equipment, and household appliances. Magnetic fields are invisible radiation, and the best way to detect them is with an accurate gaussmeter, such as those from Integrity Design & Research Corp.
